Spatial communication
Spatial Communication is talk I gave at Develop Digital in 2020. It tried to dig into what a space can silently communicate to a player and how we, as designers, can take control of this conversation to make sure players get the experience we intend.
The example level was built in Dreams on a PlayStation 4.
Level Design Breakdown
This video is a level design breakdown of the Bus Depot level I built for The Last of Us. This is one of the more narrative heavy levels that I handled, and it has one of the best examples of using game mechanics to communicate story beats that I have built so I thought it would be a good one to dig into.
It is also a later level, so spoilers are present throughout!
Level Design Podcast
Mark Drew & Valentina Chrysostomou kindly invited me onto their podcast to discuss Dreams PS4, The Last of Us and more! The conversation mainly focusses on the educational applications of Dreams and the design philosophies behind the game.
Level Design Lobby
I was thrilled to join Max Pears on his podcast to discuss my career up to this point and my rout into the games industry.
